Affection's Antithesis

14/07/2023: If Love and Hate were married...

Sketch by Sam Mowbray

Love and Hate tied the knot, a union so profound;

in a paradoxical dance, their hearts were tightly bound.

Opposites attract, they say; this love story is unique;

a rollercoaster ride of emotions, highs, and lows they seek.

On moonlit nights, they cuddle close, love on full display;

but when the sun arises, Hate might lead them far astray.

They clash like thunder in the night; fierce arguments do arise;

but through it all, they find a way to see each other's eyes.

It's a tightrope walk they're on between Love and Hate's divide,

yet they're bound together, souls forever intertwined

They fight and fuss, but deep down, they're meant to be;

Love and Hate, a twisted fate, dancing for eternity.

Sometimes, they drift apart like ships lost in the night;

but love will find its way back, and Hate will make it right.

They'll learn to compromise to cherish every day,

for love and Hate, united, can keep the doubts at bay.
